Hammon Dies From Sunday Crash Injuries

No injuries in morning crash

Gregory James Hammon was 61. He was the nicest, most caring person in the world. He would do anything for anybody, said niece Holly Smith, of Lake Tapps, Wash. Hammons sister Melinda Farver of Albany said he was called the great communicator in her family. He would just call this one, then that one. Saturday night, before the accident, I think he called just about everybody in the family, she added. Hammon was the passenger in a Jeep Cherokee driven by William James Russell, and they were headed southbound on Geary Street at about 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, said Sgt. Jerry Drum of the Albany Police Department.

Multiple Injuries In Glen Burnie Car Crash

(December 21, 2013) Train traffic was shut down overnight after a 3-car crash near tracks on the south side. It happened just before 12:30 a.m. on West Southport Road near Bluff Road. One car crossed teh center lane, smashing into another car. It isnt clear how the third vehicle was hit. IMPD dispatch says at least one person was seriously injured and at least one person had to be extricated from their vehicle. Several ambulances were called to the scene. No word yet on exactly how many people were hurt or the extent of their imjuries. Well have more details on Fox59 Morning News beginning at 6 a.m.

Monday. Police say Justin Lanning, of Odenton, was traveling eastbound in a Chrysler Sebring on Stewart Ave approaching the intersection of Old Stage Rd when he struck a Nissan Xterra. The driver of the Nissan, Audrey Foster, is listed in stable condition at an area hospital. A passenger in the vehicle is in critical condition. According to police officials, excessive speed and alcohol appear to be a factor in the crash. Lanning is listed in critical condition.
