Man Dies From Injuries Sustained After Car Accident Last Week in Odessa

Police responded to reports of a car that went over the side of a steep hill in the 3800 block of Ridgeline Drive around 1 a.m., according to the San Bernardino Police Department. The car went up a curb and off the embankment, rolling over several times before coming to rest about 200 feet down in a ravine, officials said. A 19-year-old woman who was 19 weeks pregnant was airlifted to a local hospital with major injuries, police said.Her unborn child did not survive, officials said. Three people were ejected from the vehicle, including a 19-year-old Beaumont woman and a 24-year-old Fontana man who were pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Their names have not yet been released. The third person who was ejected from the vehicle, a 23-year-old San Bernardino man was taken to a hospital with multiple fractures to his spine and other major injuries, authorities said. Another 19-year-old woman was taken to a hospital but did not appear to suffer any major injuries. Police said evidence suggests that most of the cars occupants were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Driver injured in 1-car crash Sunday

Hammon was the passenger in a Jeep Cherokee driven by William James Russell, and they were headed southbound on Geary Street at about 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, said Sgt. Jerry Drum of the Albany Police Department. The Jeep failed to stop at a red light, and was struck in the side by a Ford van driven by Marcos Castillo, 42, of Albany, who was traveling eastbound on Ninth Street. Intoxicants are not believed to have been involved in the crash. The case still is under investigation and Russell is cooperating with authorities, Drum said. 62-year-old William Charles Lynch died from injuries sustained in the wreck. Investigators say Lynch was driving northbound on Faudree in his SUV when according to multiple witnesses when he ran a red light. According to evidence at the scene and witness statements, at approximately 12:34 a.m., four vehicles were stopped at a red traffic light one behind the other on northbound Industrial Road south of North Bridge Lane. AChevrolet Equinoxapproached the light and impacted thelast car in line for the light, a Buick Park Avenue. Police said this resulted ineach car being pushed into the car in front of it. Medical teams transported the driver and passenger of the Buickto UMC Trauma for moderate injuries. The woman driving in the Equinox was also transported to UMC Trauma and sufferedserious injuries. Police believe the operator of the Chevrolet possibly suffered a medical episode prior to the collision. This crash remains under investigation by Metro’s Accident Investigations Section. Minor injuries in Mundelein car versus pedestrian crash

Police responded to the accident around 5:40 p.m. on Tuesday, said Cmdr. Fred Kliora. The woman was conscious and transported to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.
