That was certainly the case for Mindy Tran, a mother of two from Lawrence, MA. Earlier this month, Tran strapped her twins into their car seats but quickly ran back to the house to lock the door. During that time, the car began to slowly roll toward traffic. Tran, who thought the car was in park, ran and threw herself under the automobile in order to slow it down. A neighbor noticed and jumped to her aid, removing the two children from the car. Firefighters arrived on the scene quickly and used an airbag to lift the car off of Tran. She is currently in the hospital with a broken leg and dislocated shoulder and hip and will be there for a few weeks. Though the media has deemed her a hero, Tran does not consider herself worthy of the title. “I don’t consider myself a hero,” Tran told ABC News . “I am just a mother.”
